Your initial consultation is designed to expose you to the custom jewelry design process and answer all of your questions. You’ll be meeting with award winning designers who will gain insight into your specific needs, style, and preferences.

We can show you a variety of styles based on your preferences and view examples of finished projects that illustrate the differences in cut, clarity, color, size, precious metals, gemstones, artistic techniques, finishes & more.

3D MODELING

Simone & Son is lucky to have some of the most experienced and innovative jewelry designers in the business, and you can feel at ease knowing that our design team will create stunning 3D computer models of your design, allowing you to verify the design’s accuracy with confidence.

During this step you can still make changes or modifications to your design – Having a 3D CAD Model allows us to make modifications to the jewelry design without increasing costs as long as we are not adding additional precious gemstones or materials. Rendered images of your 3D model can be emailed to you, posted online, or viewed in person by visiting our Huntington Beach showroom.

THE 3D PROTOTYPE

We then create a 3D printed wax model of your design. We have several of the latest high resolution prototyping machines enabling us to 3D print the wax model to the highest standards available, resulting in an incredibly detailed and true-to-life prototype.

This model is full scale and will show you the exact detail and dimensions of your project – enabling us to precisely size the ring and make any final changes before casting.

We always print more than one prototype and you are welcome to come by the showroom for viewing or we can mail it to you anywhere in the world. Once you approve the final design we are then ready to start producing the piece.

HAND CRAFTING IN OUR STUDIO

This step in the custom jewelry design process involves the art and skill of a true craftsman. First, our master jeweler prepares the casting for parts and assembly. The Precious gems and/or diamonds to be used in your piece of custom jewelry are hand-selected and carefully mounted by the stone setter.

Next the master jeweler brings the piece of custom jewelry to a stunning polish using traditional and modern techniques. We then inspect the piece and take high resolution photos and videos to share with you.
